Usually when news breaks, there's always a good news and bad news version. In this case both are good news. First of all, the Los Angeles Queens, er, um, Kings have been eliminated from their first Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2002. They played well all season and were almost at risk of dropping out of the playoffs towards the end when they went on an eight game losing streak, but managed to hang on. The Vancouver Canucks just proved to be too much for the Queens to handle in the end, especially after the Sedin twins shook off the rust that had gathered, and dominated the last 3 or 4 games. So long Queens, we hardly miss you.
The other good news is going to be short and sweet: The Phoenix Coyotes have forced a game seven against the Detroit Red Wings in Phoenix. Glendale arena is going to be rocking with red and white, and I for one wish I was there.
