Well, so far I've missed the first game of both the western and eastern conference, but the results aren't surprising with the exception of the Lightning/Bruins series. I fully anticipate the Bruins to win the series based soley on Tim Thomas and the notion that goal tending wins you a cup. I know the Lighting have Roli, so that might make a difference. This could be Roli's shot at redemption for losing the last opportunity at the cup he had when he was with Edmonton. Back then he had Pronger, Comrie and Smyth playing in front of him though. This version of the Boston Bruins seem like their destine to win it, otherwise one has to wonder if it will be time to move some major pieces. Kaberle has not been a factor yet, and many figured him to be an asset the Brian Burke was holding on to him. I believe that the genius of Burke is that he held on to Kaberle only for the purpose of creating the idea that he's worth his price tag. Yes, I have that kind of blind confidence in Burkie. Anyhow, we shall see how this plays out. I will go in full jinx mode now and give you my picks for the series.
Boston 6
