Comic Con 2009 is now history, and it took me about three days to get over it. Aside from all the fun and hi jinx, people forget it's alot of hard work. In my case, it was a physical labor of love. I was in charge most of the time of carrying around the camera equipment (I signed for it) so it was tiring at times. So before anything else is said, I salute you (the camera people) for all the hard work you do to bring the images of Comic Con to your readers!

Aside from that there are other smaller feats of endurance like standing in line for hall H. If you were lucky, like I was, you stood in line early in the morning when it was cooler and by the water. Luckily the morning I did it, the day of the Warner Brothers Panel, they were able to fit in the entire line and I then spent the next 2 hours in an super air conditioned that was actually freezing! Some of you had to do hall H in the hot beaming sun, which left it's mark, but all for the sake of the film!
Walking the floor was another one of those things that should be an Olympic event! Having done so last year, I took a slightly different route (there is one) and I got to experience a much calmer floor experience than last year. There were many sights to see, from the dancing Asian girl in the booth, to the Pimp version of Lando Calrissian, the walking Joker gangsters (my favorite costume), the Ghostbusters, and of course the panels! My least favorite part? Everytime I flashed my press badge and was told to go out the door and get in line......all the frick around the building. Hats off to you Elite Security!

And what can I say about the Wrath of Con party that already haven't said? (Read here) It really lived up to all the hype I heard last year. So, you know what that means? I really does get better each year, so don't worry if you missed this one; but do whatever you can to be at the next one, because I can't wait to see what Robert Sanchez has up his sleeve! The party had everything you could want....booze, beautiful people, a wrestling match, Freddy, Jason and Hercules! It was especially cool because I got to hang with really cool people that are the unsung heroes online: Thomas, Korey, the LR boys, Vic, Harry, the Joblo boys, Devin, and the rest! (If I didn't mention you, my apologies) this party, in my opinion, is for all of you and your hard work!
And just like that, it's all over for this year. All that remain are the memories, and in some cases the scars, and paternity tests, but Comic Con 2009 was, and still remains a celebration of film and in the end....friendship. So I raise a final toast to this year, and start looking towards next year! Cheers!
