The Ducks played like they were having fun. That should be my entire post for the game against Minnesota. ironically, a few Ducks took there share of knocks and even shed some blood, but they still had fun. It's very reminiscent of 2007 (the cup winning year) when Teemu's face look like a bee hive exploded all it. In other words the Ducks played hard, and aggressively and something good happened....they won! That's all it takes boys. Not only do good things happen when you play hard, but @princessduck doesn't cuss as much either! If the Ducks can continue to play hard @adamjbrady won't be able to say clever things when doing spin-control.
Corey Perry continues to have a great physical presence on the ice, as he got his first career hat-trick. It happened minutes after splitting his cheek open from slicing high stick behind the net. It was funny watching his post game interview after the game with a tennis ball sized bump on his cheek growing as the interview went on.
T-Bone Marchant was all over the place, as is always the case. This guy is the unsung hero of the Ducks. No matter what the score is, you can always count on seeing T-Bone being a pest, and trying to grab loose pucks. He's been consistent on the ice ever since the Ducks picked him up. It will be a sad day when he decides to the leave the game.
All in all it was a fun game to watch. Minnesota sits in 3rd place in their division, but they always seem to have the talent and ability to pull a W out of game if a team gets sloppy. The Ducks currently sit in 2nd place (tie) in the West, and 1st (tie) in the Pacific (based on points)...not bad boys, but you need to get some distance between the other teams. The Ducks now hit the road for 100 games, or something like that, so hopefully they've managed to bond, and hate being home long enough to last them for this road trip. This can be seen as the road trip that will make or break the season, so fasten your seat belts!
